How do retreats work?

Retreats are facilitated by Dr. Wheeler, are tailored to your needs, and can be focused on any part(s) of the dissemination process. Together we decide on a structure and format that will work best for the group. Retreat location and logistics are handled by the project lead.

Retreats include one-on-one/small group meetings with me and can also include up to 4 optional 60-90 minute targeted workshops around relevant topics to the group.

What types of workshop topics can I choose from?

Example workshop topics:

• literature reviewing

• intro/intermediate quantitative data analysis

• intro/intermediate qualitative data analysis

• finding the right dissemination venue

• structuring an empirical STEM education article

• targeted qualitative or quantitative analyses (e.g., linear regression, qualitative coding and interrater reliability)

• theoretical frameworks

• survey design

• data collection and management

Other topics of interest can be discussed.

What does a multi-retreat schedule look like?
